Jan 2010: PTAV join investors in Simulation Synthesis Ltd
Simulation Synthesis Ltd develop Esperient Creator and other visual simulation and communication software products. Esperient Creator is a What You See IS What You Get interactive 3D application authoring platform. Creator is used by 4 out of 5 of the leading Aerospace and Defence manufacturers for part task trainer development and used in over 30 Universities world wide. PTAV Ltd have joined investors in Simulation Synthesis Ltd and will be providing product mangement and product design support to the new company.
Esperient-PTAV provide consulting to Thyssen Krupp Marine Systems Gmbh ViSTIS Initiative
The Virtual Ship Training and Information System(ViSTIS) platform is being developed by TKMS Blohm + Voss Nordseewerke, a part of ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems (TKMS), one of the largest European shipyards. Technically accurate the VISTIS training solution will enable an entire crew to simultaneously participate in life-like, online training scenarios. PTAV are providing technical,process, design and business consulting support to help the ViSTIS team fundamentally change naval training.
Esperient-PTAV supply Jaeger-LeCoultre 3D animation for Hybris Mechanica 55
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Hybris Mechanica Grand Sonnerie is the world's most complicated watch with over 1300 parts housed in a 18k white gold case that is 44mm wide by 15mm tall. In creating the watch, the design team - reinvented the trebuchet and sound mechanism to create the only watch in the world that can play the complete Westminster Carillon (chimes) with crystal clarity. To accompany the product launch PTAV created a 3D animation which revealed how the new trebuchet mechanism works while playing the full Carillon.
April 2009: PTAV partner with leading Swiss accoustic engineers IAV for R&D projects
IAV Engineering are Switzerland's leading accoustical engineering research and development firm. Highly active in multiple diverse domains from environmental monitoring and industrial control through to watchmaking IAV specialise in all aspects of accoustic phyics. Working with IAV the PTAV team developed solver algorithms and a prototype test platform for Sniper Detection (Armasuisse) and profiled control algorithms for Active Noise Control (Linov-ABB).
